{"id":90267,"date":"2021-03-22T14:41:21","date_gmt":"2021-03-22T17:41:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.smart-gsm.com\/blog\/?p=90267"},"modified":"2021-03-22T14:48:23","modified_gmt":"2021-03-22T17:48:23","slug":"lg-cerraria-division-smartphones","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.smart-gsm.com\/blog\/lg-cerraria-division-smartphones\/","title":{"rendered":"LG podr\u00eda haber llegado a una decisi\u00f3n con respecto a su divisi\u00f3n de smartphones"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En los pasados d\u00edas surgi\u00f3 una certificaci\u00f3n de la Bluetooth SIG <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smart-gsm.com\/blog\/lg-rollable-teaser-video-oficial\/\">el LG Rollable<\/a>, el primer <em>foldable<\/em> de LG del que no cre\u00edamos que fuera a lanzarse luego de la poca popularidad del LG Wing y la aparentemente irremontable p\u00e9rdida de la divisi\u00f3n de smartphones del fabricante surcoreano. Y ahora surgen con fuerza versiones que dicen que <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smart-gsm.com\/fabricantes\/lg\">LG<\/a><\/strong> acabar\u00eda por cerrar su divisi\u00f3n de smartphones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los rumores llegan a trav\u00e9s de un informe del sitio surcoreano <em>DongA Ilbo<\/em> que fue luego replicado por <em>Bloomberg<\/em>. Sab\u00edamos que LG estaba abierto a &#8220;cualquier posibilidad&#8221; al respecto del futuro de su divisi\u00f3n de smartphones, no cerr\u00e1ndole las puertas a venderlo, pero tampoco a cerrarla por completo. Y lo \u00faltimo es lo que habr\u00eda ganado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">LG habr\u00eda detenido todos sus lanzamientos durante la primera mitad del 2021<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El lanzamiento del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smart-gsm.com\/moviles\/lg-k92-5g\">LG K92 5G<\/a> en octubre de 2020 fue la \u00faltima vez que la compa\u00f1\u00eda surcoreana puso un pie en el mercado internacional. En el mercado, a secas, en realidad, puesto que no hubo ni siquiera posteriores anuncios locales de parte de su divisi\u00f3n m\u00e1s problem\u00e1tica: la de tel\u00e9fonos inteligentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Con marzo ya y\u00e9ndose y ning\u00fan teaser oficial de parte de LG nos extra\u00f1a este silencio sepulcral al respecto del futuro del LG Rollable, prometido para un anuncio pronto a comienzos de 2021, y de todas las dem\u00e1s series de smartphones de la compa\u00f1\u00eda. Todo ser\u00eda porque se habr\u00eda decidido darle un alto a todos los lanzamientos durante la primera mitad del a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La raz\u00f3n para esa decisi\u00f3n es que el futuro de esta divisi\u00f3n es incierto. Tanto as\u00ed que LG habr\u00eda estado en conversaciones con Volkswagen AG y un grupo de accionistas vietnamitas, Vingroup JSC, para la venta de su divisi\u00f3n de smartphones. Lamentablemente para LG las negociaciones no salieron como esperaban y ahora se estar\u00eda enfrentando a una dif\u00edcil decisi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">LG acabar\u00eda por cerrar su divisi\u00f3n de smartphones por completo y as\u00ed evitar seguir lidiando con un aspecto de su compa\u00f1\u00eda que no cesa de dar p\u00e9rdidas, trimestre a trimestre, sin excepci\u00f3n, por los pasados seis a\u00f1os. Una realidad se agrav\u00f3 hasta un punto de no retorno con la pandemia del virus COVID-19 que le puso un alto completo a su oportunidad de capitalizar aunque sea unas pocas cientos de miles de ventas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Es cierto que la Bluetooth SIG le ha dado esperanzas a los usuarios de smartphones de LG habiendo certificado recientemente la existencia y acabado de un LG Rollable -adem\u00e1s de confirmar su nombre. Pero, lamentablemente, esa no es informaci\u00f3n concluyente al respecto del estado de su manufactura puesto que luego de ello tendr\u00eda que comenzar a fabricarse en masa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Algunos medios reportaron que representantes de LG confirmaron que el desarrollo del LG no se detuvo en lo absoluto, pero sucede que cinco meses sin lanzamientos de parte de una de las viejas glorias del mercado de smartphones no puede ser interpretado como una mera casualidad. Quiz\u00e1, en todo caso, el LG Rollable sea una despedida de LG del mercado de <em>flagships<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cualquiera sea el resultado del futuro de esta divisi\u00f3n una realidad se ha hecho evidente los pasados meses: la casa matriz de LG no est\u00e1 dispuesta a seguir de brazos cruzados apostando a un negocio que no parece remontar sin importar los cambios de estrategia que se hagan.
