Uno m\u00e1s delgado que el otro, pero ambos con displays OLED que le permiten curvarse para lograr un dise\u00f1o que se espera se popularice durante los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>Pero aunque de propiedades pl\u00e1sticas, estos dispositivos parecieran ser especialmente fr\u00e1giles. M\u00e1s a\u00fan teniendo en cuenta que no hay un vidrio recubriendo su frente. Es por eso que\u00a0Corning est\u00e1 trabajando en un vidrio plegable, para que los\u00a0tel\u00e9fonos flexibles del futuro sean tambi\u00e9n resistentes.<\/p>\n<p>Jonh Bayne, CEO de Corning, la compa\u00f1\u00eda tras los vidrios Willow Glass -de propiedades m\u00e1s bien maleables- y Gorilla Glass -su c\u00e9lebre serie de vidrios resistentes- ha expresado la necesidad de enfrentar el problema del vidrio como material protector de\u00a0smartphones flexibles.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Detalles del Corning Gorilla Glass Foldable:<\/h2>\n<p>A pesar de que el vidrio es un material que con el cuidado y la pericia adecuadas puede volverse delgado y es totalmente maleable, hoy por hoy parece imposible imaginar un vidrio que se contorsione y pliegue sobre s\u00ed mismo para acompa\u00f1ar los movimientos de los tel\u00e9fonos que aspira a proteger.<\/p>\n<p>Con diferentes tipos de bisagra, adem\u00e1s, cualquiera sea el vidrio protector que acabe creando Corning deber\u00e1 ser uno que sea totalmente plegable y no solo en algunos puntos.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente, los fabricantes de smartphones flexibles optan por un pol\u00edmero de pl\u00e1stico para recubrir sus pantallas, lo que les permite estirarse de cualquier manera pero renunciando a sobrevivir a ca\u00eddas m\u00e1s altas de lo normal.<\/p>\n<p>Corning est\u00e1 trabajando en un vidrio plegable y, seg\u00fan parece, ser\u00eda uno de 0,1mm de grosor y con la posibilidad de plegarse hasta 5mm de radio, propiedades dignas de la ciencia ficci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Pero la tecnolog\u00eda para lograr las propiedades de este Corning Gorilla Glass Foldable ya estar\u00eda en manos de la compa\u00f1\u00eda que dirige Jonh Bayne.
