Desde entonces, y al igual que como sucedi\u00f3 con Android 7.0 Nougat, los distintos fabricantes alrededor del globo se han llenado la boca de promesas acerca de cu\u00e1ndo podremos comenzar a contar con la \u00faltima versi\u00f3n del sistema operativo m\u00f3vil m\u00e1s popular del mundo, pero en la enorme mayor\u00eda de los casos estas actualizaciones tardan o tardaron mucho en llegar y lo har\u00e1n o han hecho para unos pocos dispositivos.<\/p>\n<p>Con una clara tendencia a priorizar aquellos smartphones de alta gama por sobre todos los dem\u00e1s, las cifras oficiales provenientes del departamento de desarrolladores de Android dan cuenta de esto: solo el 0,5% de los usuarios de Android tiene la versi\u00f3n 8.0 instalada.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-responsive center-block aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smart-gsm.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Android-gr\u00e1fico-torta.jpg\" alt=\"Gr\u00e1fico de versiones de Android instaladas en el mes de diciembre del 2017.\" width=\"1000\" height=\"641\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Al d\u00eda de hoy y tomando en cuenta a penas los primeros d\u00edas de diciembre, los dispositivos con la \u00faltima versi\u00f3n de Android disponible son menos del 1%. Esta cifra cobra particular dramatismo cuando se tiene en cuenta que <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smart-gsm.com\/fabricantes\/google\">Google<\/a> est\u00e1 trabajando en lanzar la versi\u00f3n 8.1 de Android Oreo posiblemente antes de que termine el 2017. Mientras tanto, a\u00fan hay compa\u00f1\u00edas manufactureras que contin\u00faan lanzando smartphones con Android 7.0 Nougat, ni siquiera con la versi\u00f3n 7.1.<\/p>\n<p>Sobre las m\u00e1s inmediatamente anteriores versiones, el 19,3% de los tel\u00e9fonos Android tiene Nougat 7.0, mientras que la posterior versi\u00f3n a penas logra concentrar el 4% de los usuarios. En total, las \u00faltimas tres versiones disponibles de Android se encuentran distribuidas en menos de un cuarto de los usuarios de Android en todo el mundo. Lo que indica, a\u00a0<em>grosso modo<\/em>, que m\u00e1s del 75% de los usuarios de un tel\u00e9fono de Android se encuentra usando un dispositivo con dos o m\u00e1s a\u00f1os de antig\u00fcedad.<\/p>\n<p>La llegada de Android Oreo propuso un nuevo paradigma de configuraci\u00f3n de software que supone un plan a largo plazo para actualizaciones de Android m\u00e1s universales, eficientes y veloces, pero este plan est\u00e1 lejos de alcanzar al grueso de la poblaci\u00f3n de usuarios de este sistema operativo m\u00f3vil.
