Tanto el Exynos 8895 como el Snapdragon 835 fueron dise\u00f1ados con la tecnolog\u00eda de Samsung de 10nm y mientras Qualcomm trabaja con TSMC para desarrollar la tecnolog\u00eda de n\u00f3dulos de 7 nanometros, Samsung acaba de anunciar que consiguieron desarrollar con \u00e9xito las condiciones necesarias para fabricar procesadores de 8 nanometros.<\/p>\n<p>En el comunicado Samsung confiesa que mucha de la inspiraci\u00f3n que result\u00f3 en la fabricaci\u00f3n de n\u00f3dulos de 8 nanometros provino de haber dise\u00f1ado antes la tecnolog\u00eda de 10 nanometros, aunque la primera tiene una desventaja.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Samsung declara que los procesadores de 8 nanometros ser\u00e1n un 10% m\u00e1s chicos y un 10% m\u00e1s eficientes energ\u00e9ticamente hablando. El inconveniente que presentar\u00edan es que no se llevan muy bien con la tecnolog\u00eda de EUV (Extreme Ultraviolet Lithography o Litograf\u00eda Ultravioleta Extrema) desarrollada por Samsung para conseguir que sus procesadores de 10nm sean m\u00e1s econ\u00f3micos de fabricar y tambi\u00e9n que su \u00edndice de \u00e9xito de fabricaci\u00f3n sea lo suficientemente alto.<\/p>\n<p>En estos t\u00e9rminos, habiendo conquistado la tecnolog\u00eda necesaria para fabricar procesadores de 8nm a esta altura del a\u00f1o har\u00eda suponer que el pr\u00f3ximo procesador de Samsung y el pr\u00f3ximo procesador de Qualcomm ser\u00edan de 8nm y que posiblemente veamos los resultados de esta tecnolog\u00eda durante los primeros dos trimestres del 2018, con m\u00e1s probabilidad de ver a Samsung y a TSMC conquistar la fabricaci\u00f3n de procesadores de 7nm hacia finales del 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Pero la carrera no termina ah\u00ed, pues tanto Samsung como TSMC buscan desarrollar la fabricaci\u00f3n de procesadores de 6 y 4 nanometros, en el caso del Coloso Coreano, y de 3 y 2 nanometros en el caso de la compa\u00f1\u00eda manufacturera taiwanesa. \u00bfSe alternar\u00e1n el \u00e9xito por temporadas en vista de que ninguno se encuentra buscando conquistar las mismas metas m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los 7 nanometros?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Samsung y Qualcomm son los principales interesados en continuar llevando la punta en materia de fabricaci\u00f3n de system on chips o SoCs, tambi\u00e9n conocidos como chips o procesadores.
